COSMIC'S WEBPAGE!! | |||||||||||||||||
About us: |
This is the official homepage of the Young Enterprise company Cosmic. First, a little about the company itself. Beware though, this page is still being built and updated. Cosmic formed in September 1997 as a young enterprise company affiliated with City Of London School For Girls. We cater for the gift market, making most of our own products. These are: The photo frame. Normal idea, unusual design. Made with a twisted metal stand, smart wooden base and clear perspex to hold your photos, this is one photo frame designed to get noticed, whilst still appealing to the sophisticated members amongst our customers. Below is the list of members and their respective positions (I know this isn't the most exciting thing in the world but as soon as we get our act together, we'll put up a picture so you can see what we all look like!)

Now I guess its time for some blurb about Young Enterprise itself. |
Young Enterprise is a scheme run in Secondary schools where a group of students (Usually 6th Formers, Year 12's or those taking Highers) join together and create a company. They then send off their registration to Young Enterprise and receive sharebooks and folders for each position. The positions are chosen by majority vote (well, that's what we did, anyway) and each person is responsible for a different area, though all members are expected to know what's going on. We sold our shares for 25p each to people in our school, friends and family. We then use this money to pay our registration fee (or you can get sponsorship for that), buy in stock (we bought makeup) and raw materials (as we make a lot of fur-covered things we bought in fake fur). We take an exam at the end which gives us two points on our UCAS form and is the equivalent of an NVQ, I think. Errm, that's all I can remember at present, although I may add more later. If you have any questions, then e-mail us at the address below, we'll be happy to answer any enquiries.
